Job Description
Senior Security Engineer-PALO ALTO/CYBER SECURITY FOR OUR GOVERNMENT CLIENT - Nationwide/hybrid working Market rates Inside IR35
Contract Length: 2/3 months with extension (length of extension tbc)
Location: All staff working are expected to spend at least 40% of their working time in their nearest client office. However, successful applicants will be able to discuss exact working patterns with the hiring manager and request additional flexibility if needed.
Security Clearance: Active SC required due to nature of the project
The workload for our Security Operations function is increasing as they have to deal with more alerts and incidents, without the benefit of automation and analytics to reduce the manual effort and improve the response time.
Moreover, we have to comply with the increasing Government standards and expectations for security monitoring, such as the Cyber Assessment Framework and the Minimum Cyber Security Standard.
Justice Digital are prioritising GovAssure assessments for all critical services which include security monitoring compliance checks. Justice Digital have collaborated on the creation of, and are ensuring strategic alignment to our clients Cyber Strategy.
You will:
Implement, configure, and manage Palo Alto Networks XSIAM platform to ensure optimal performance and security.
Develop and maintain security policies, rules, and configurations to enhance threat detection and response capabilities.
Integrate XSIAM with other security tools and information systems to automate security operations and workflows.
Conduct continuous monitoring and analysis of security alerts and incidents to identify trends and potential threats.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to share threat intelligence and improve overall security awareness.
Provide technical support and guidance on cybersecurity matters to IT and business units.
Stay up-to-date with emerging security threats, technologies, and Palo Alto Networks offerings to continuously improve security operations.
Prepare and present reports on security incidents, trends, and the overall effectiveness of security measures to senior management. These resources supplement existing resources within the MIP and SOC teams.
