Sellick Partnership are currently partnered with a Public Sector organisation to recruit an experienced Data Architect to support the continued development and evolution of its enterprise data platform.
This is a key technical role responsible for defining, maintaining and governing the organisation's data architecture, ensuring data platforms, models and integrations are scalable, secure and aligned with business objectives. The successful candidate will provide architectural leadership across data initiatives, ensuring solutions are designed in line with best practice and support trusted reporting, analytics and business decision-making.
This role offers a predominantly remote working arrangement, with only occasional onsite attendance required for key meetings or collaboration sessions.
As the Data Architect, you will work closely with data engineers, analysts, architects and business stakeholders to shape data strategy, establish architectural standards and ensure data solutions are fit for purpose, scalable and aligned with the organisation's wider technology roadmap.
Define and maintain enterprise data architecture principles, standards and best practices.
Design conceptual, logical and physical data models to support analytics, reporting and operational services.
Provide architectural governance and assurance across data platforms, pipelines and integration solutions.
Develop scalable integration patterns to enable data sharing across multiple systems and platforms.
Ensure data solutions are designed with appropriate governance, security and compliance controls.
Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into effective architectural designs.
Provide technical leadership and guidance to Data Engineers and wider delivery teams.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of the organisation's data architecture, standards and tooling.
Significant experience working as a Data Architect or Senior Data Engineer within a complex organisation.
Strong experience designing conceptual, logical and physical data models.
Experience providing architectural governance and assurance across enterprise data solutions.
Strong understanding of data architecture, integration patterns, governance and secure data design.
Experience working with enterprise data platforms, analytics solutions and cloud technologies.
Experience working with the Microsoft data stack, particularly Microsoft Fabric.
Experience working with Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft Power Platform would be advantageous.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working within secure, well-governed data environments.
