We are currently seeking a professional to join our team as a Common Depository Vault Assistant.

This role requires you to be in the office for all five working days.

Issuer Services Operations (ISV Ops) is part of the broader Client Operations organisation within GBM. ISV Ops supports Issuer Services, GB and CMB lending and bond origination, and is accountable for Corporate Trust Operations, Loan Agency Operations and Loan Administration.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure all new issuances into the ICSDs the Global Notes are created and held to meet our regulatory requirements around Common Depository.
  • Creation and authentication of Global Notes.
  • Complete daily activities around the management of the Common Depository Vault and ensure that the Vault is maintained to a high level of accuracy.
  • Review processes to identify areas of improvement relating to automation, risk reduction or control enhancements, and drive these changes through to implementation.
  • Complete daily controls and trackers to ensure all activities are recorded and actions completed.
  • Establish and maintain operational relationships with peer group client contacts and London CSMs/TMs to ensure strong and efficient processes and open, honest dialogue.
  • Provide operational support to the Common Depository, New Issues, Rate Fix teams in the Global Service Centre in Kolkata.
  • Assist with testing in UAT environment in relation to system enhancements.
  • Manage ad hoc projects, working with stakeholders, managing action points and ensuring timely delivery.
  • Support the Vault Manager in managing any internal or external audit and providing the necessary samples requested by stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Experience in a Corporate Trust environment is an advantage.
  • Prior settlements experience in either ICSDs or settlements is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of capital markets products and financial services processes is desirable.
  • Strong communication and client service skills required to build and enhance client relationships.
  • Ability to multi task and manage frequently changing priorities.
  • Previous experience with CASS regulatory requirements would be beneficial.
  • Ability to work accurately and effectively with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team supporting colleagues where required.
