Senior Airframe Integrator

LOCATION: Filton (80% of the working week must be office based)

TYPE: Full time

BPPSS check (including criminal record check) mandatory.

Occasional travel within the UK and internationally.

Senior Airframe Integrator needed to support the Wing Airframe Architecture and Integration Skill. Depending on experience the role may focus on Future Wing Architecture Definition (Next Generation) or Legacy Product Support (A300, A320, A330, A350 & A380 families).

• Lead cross functional engineering activities, including design, analysis, systems installation, and manufacturing engineering.
• Perform certification analysis supporting new aircraft weight variants and modifications.
• Define engineering solutions to improve manufacturing rates, generate business benefits, and address in service issues.
• Support continuous airworthiness of the fleet.
• Apply System Engineering methodologies, ensuring compliance with relevant requirements and directives.
• Define integrated planning to deliver products on time, within cost, and to quality standards.
• Lead and support adoption of new working methodologies for future wing design and development.
• Initiate continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and enhance operational efficiency.
• Progress towards recognition as a Component Architect within the Airframe Architecture & Integration community.

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace or an equivalent discipline.
• Experience in all major structural zones of the wing component.
• Experience in design, analysis, systems installation and integration.
• Proficiency with design tools such as Catia and 3DX.
• Proficiency in static analysis processes, methods, and toolsets.
• Comprehensive understanding of interdisciplinary relationships and interactions.
• Proficiency in System Engineering methodologies.
• Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting solutions to executive level audiences.
• Strong problem solving ability and capacity for innovative solutions.
• Comfortable working in environments of high uncertainty and change.
• Skilled stakeholder management and negotiation level proficiency in English.
