Senior Architectural Technician

Location: Wolverhampton

Salary: £40,000 - £48,000 (DOE)

An established and growing architectural practice is seeking an experienced Senior Architectural Technician to join its Wolverhampton office. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technical professional to take a leading role in the delivery of projects across a range of sectors, working within a collaborative and supportive team environment.

The Role
  • Producing detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction information using Revit
  • Preparing Building Regulations submissions and supporting planning applications where required
  • Coordinating with architects, consultants, contractors, and clients throughout project delivery
  • Developing technical design solutions that meet client requirements and regulatory standards
  • Attending project meetings, site visits, and design team reviews
  • Assisting with project management, quality assurance, and technical coordination
  • Supporting and mentoring junior team members where appropriate
  • Ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in line with programme requirements
Requirements
  • Significant experience working as an Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist within a UK practice
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK Building Regulations, construction detailing, and building technology
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and experience producing detailed construction packages
  • Experience coordinating projects through planning, technical design, and construction stages
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • CIAT accreditation is desirable but not essential
