Job Description

Senior KDB Developer - FICC IT (Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities)

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the G10 Rates e-Trading team.

Responsibilities
  • Work with KDB Framework and liaise with business/traders/quants to develop enhancements and deliver automation
  • Troubleshoot issues faced by quants/traders in a real time trading environment
  • Delivery of new functionality to the KDB data analytics platform, infrastructure, and provide support directly to the Fixed Income E Trading/Sales/Quant desks
  • Contribute and own projects delivering enhancements and stability improvements on behalf of the business teams
  • Build and maintain tools to industrialise support of a cutting edge in house trading platform
  • Constantly challenge and seek new areas for automation of manual tasks from the global team
  • Analyze requirements in real time from users and technical support colleagues, designing and prototyping solutions, through to testing and deployment
  • Work with systems development teams ensuring best design, deployment, capacity and operability
Qualifications
  • Strong KDB and Q language skills to handle time series data
  • Experience with end to end KDB solutions (Infrastructure as a Code included)
  • Experience designing KDB plants
  • Knowledge of Fixed Income business, products and markets
  • Can operate at a KDB Advisory level
  • Been involved within complex programmes / multiple projects across multiple work streams / global locations
  • Excellent communication skills & ability to influence project design and scope
