We are looking for an experienced, motivated lead OCI Architect who can

(a.) lead and inspire more junior members of a delivery team,
(b.) act as the presales lead to develop and win new cloud business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provides advice and guidance to development teams on architectures and application designs Identifies and promotes best practice, including standards, frameworks and solution methodologies
  • Proactively identify opportunities for extending existing and new developments into re-usable resources, and maintains a central repository of resources, including code, design documentation, standards, patterns and guidance
  • Tracks market trends and competitor activities in 'expert' area and ensure this data is utilised for the ongoing service development
  • Defines scope and deliverables for assignment with 'client' (may be internal or external) for the design of complex systems architectures to integrate business and IT requirements
  • Delivers effective technical architecture designs in accordance with agreed scope, time, financial and quality measures
  • Ensures effective client engagement and stakeholder management during assignment (may include management of technology partners and subcontractors)
  • Completes assignment review with 'client' at the end of each and every assignment (or six monthly for long term assignments)
  • Actively promotes Sopra Steria consulting, application management, business process and IT-outsourcing services.
  • Seeks and gains recognition outside Sopra Steria within 'expert' area by active involvement in industry / specialist groups that develops recognition of Company's capability that is transferable into sales opportunities
  • Develops and exploits personal network of contacts within Sopra Steria to ensure high levels of chargeable personal utilisation
  • Shares personal knowledge of 'expert' area through coaching and mentoring, running workshops, establishing 'special interest groups'
  • To identify and manage risk in his/her business activities and take responsibility for reporting risks in a timely, open and appropriate manner

What you'll bring:
  • Experience of Cloud solutions
  • Proven experience assessing client's Oracle workloads and technology landscape for OCI suitability, Including OCI Network and Security design for complex architectures to support high availability and disaster recovery requirements.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of the latest and emerging developments in IT
    and cloud technologies;
  • Have delivery experience from cloud migrations;
  • Have a good understanding of cloud offerings from the leading cloud vendors;
  • Be able to present a point of view in a compelling way and defend it when needed;
  • Be able to clearly articulate and document cloud transformation strategies and roadmaps;
  • Link business requirement to technology and cloud solutions;
  • Capture and interpret business requirement;
  • Have an understanding of how to build financial TCO and/or ROI models;
  • Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Be comfortable interacting with stakeholders including C level when needed.

Desirable Skills:
  • SaaS
  • Oracle EBS Apps DBA Implementation and Production Support experience
  • Knowledge of best practices and market trends pertaining to Cloud (OCI, Azure, AWS, GCP) and overall industry to provide thought leadership (seminars, whitepapers etc.) and mentor team to build necessary capability.
  • In depth knowledge of Oracle SaaS and PaaS
