Role Summary:

The post will be responsible to the IT Infrastructure Services Manager for the support and development of systems related to the provision of network services. Particularly, the post holder will be expected to lead specific developments in line with the Cardiff Metropolitan University’s business requirements and server and storage strategies that require a high degree of co-ordination, technical involvement and expertise.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership, coaching and mentoring to motivate, support, co-ordinate and prioritise the development and operational work of the Systems team.

• Be the escalation point for server and storage infrastructure related issues.

• Following Cardiff Met’s project management guidelines, responsible for managing and reporting on IT related projects and developments.

• Build and maintain positive individual and team working relationships both internal and external to Cardiff Met.
