Job Description

We are urgently looking for a Senior Digital Business Analyst to join a small agile team that is blending 3rd party development with internal resources to create a new website on top of a market leading CMS system with significant bespoke development undertaken by the internal team. As part of the Business Analysis team you will translate requirements (both functional and non-functional) for products into user stories and acceptance criteria for iterative delivery, and also define requirements in a more full and grouped feature fashion. It is important that you have experience in both styles. This is an exciting opportunity within an independent organisation that helps to improve medical education and practice across the UK. This role will play a key part in that by establishing the needs of the users and what is required by them, working with various areas of the business to establish the requirements for a new website that fulfils those needs. Role Responsibilities; - You will be responsible for establishing the requirements for our new website and the associated online services, working closely with the Product Manager (Head of Enterprise Systems) to gather, understand and prioritise new requirements and run requirements gathering/definition workshops - Understand and analyse current processes and workflows, identify opportunities for improvement and gain approval and sign-off on new features through demos and user acceptance testing. - You will use you people management skills to guide the agile development team on the detail of the product features, ensuring that what is built is what the users want. You will also lead the business in their thinking around the requirements for the solution. - You will be required to collaborate and interact with the multi-disciplined development team, contributing to the definition of the product and ensuring that there is a clear understanding of what is being delivered. - Gather, analyse and report on usage data or other such relevant data in support of measuring the performance and value of product features; feeding in to the prioritisation of new features. Required Experience; - Strong experience and understanding of Agile (particularly Scrum) software development methodologies and the practices of a BA in this environment. - Demonstrable experience of using relevant documenting and diagramming techniques such as UML, Domain Models, Process Flow, Use Cases, User Stories, User Journeys. - Expertise in workshop skills to support requirements gathering and idea generation. - Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills. - Understanding of relevant technologies, especially online application projects. - High degree of internet and computer literacy. - Understanding of a Product Management Lifecycle.
