Data Analyst - Manchester Your role as a Data Analyst within the education and standards team will involve effective planning and delivery of data-led projects and coordinating project teams to deliver tasks to deadline. Responsible for managing large data sets, you will plan and lead projects which maintain and improve the evidence used to inform training material. Cleaning and reporting on new data sets, you'll actively improve both the quality of data and the processes used for its storage and retrieval. Interrogating quantitative and qualitative information, you'll identify risks, issues and new insights that will help to shape managerial decisions. As you publish reports, analysis and visualisations, you'll enjoy opportunities to develop experience of Tableau data visualisation software and SQL. To join us, you'll need at least 05 - 1 year's experience of planning and delivering projects involving cleaning and validating large data sets for analysis and reporting, working within Excel. Experience of the Data Protection Act, Freedom of Information Act and the application of statistical concepts is are all desirable, but not a prerequisite for this position as full training will be given. You'll bring to the role a flexible approach, with a flair for developing innovative solutions and process improvements. Experience and Qualifications; a Experience of planning and delivering projects involving cleaning and validating large datasets for analysis and reporting. b Fluency in MS packages including advanced Excel functions (V-lookups and Pivot tables) is essential. c Able to assimilate complex information held across multiple data sets and present the results in a format which enables non-technical colleagues to make decisions and take action. d Experience in managing projects through the full lifecycle; developing project briefs, detailed project plans and product specification to deliver successful products which meet customer needs. e Educated to degree level (or equivalent) and a good understanding of the application of statistical concepts.
