Business Analyst, Government Gateway and Fraud Prevention Centre
- Rate: 402 per day
- Location: Telford, although location is flexible

Your new company
You will support critical national infrastructure work that is a high priority for HMRC and wider government. The assignment covers Government Gateway and Fraud Prevention Centre activities.
Your new role
As an end-to-end Business Analyst, you will support multiple phases of Government Gateway delivery across EACD/RATE, SCP and the Fraud Prevention Centre. You will also assist the Lead Product Manager with key stakeholder activity.
Key responsibilities
- Identify customer requirements and communicate them effectively through a combination of IT systems knowledge, analysis and stakeholder communication.
- Apply systems analysis techniques and contribute to proposals, system analysis and high-level design analysis.
- Undertake requirements analysis, data capture and data analysis in a large-scale or multi-project environment.
- Use data-modelling techniques to support the analysis and delivery process.
- Communicate with stakeholders who have different levels of IT knowledge and build effective client relationships.
- Work flexibly and independently while supporting successful team delivery and continuous improvement.
- Manage challenging conversations and apply sound judgement, influencing and presentation skills.
What you'll need to succeed
- Experience as a multi-disciplined Business Analyst, with the ability to identify, understand and clearly convey customer requirements.
- Proficiency in systems analysis techniques, including assessing proposals and undertaking system and high-level design analysis.
- Experience of requirements and analysis within large-scale or multi-project environments.
- Practical experience of data capture, data analysis and data-modelling techniques.
- A strong understanding of systems life cycles, particularly the requirements and analysis phases.
- The ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders and maintain strong client relationships.
- Experience using Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
- The ability to work under your own initiative and adapt your approach when requirements or circumstances change.
- Resilience, attention to detail and evidence of effective conflict management, decision-making, judgement, influencing and presentation skills.
- Current SC clearance.
