Development and Production Test Engineer - Electronic/Electrical

We're currently seeking a Development and Production Test Engineer (Electronics/Electrical) to support testing and diagnostics of electrical/electronic sub-systems and circuit cards during the production phase of the product lifecycle. You'll provide hands-on technical support to manufacturing test capability, helping ensure programme targets are achieved to agreed time, cost, and quality.
Provide test engineering support to operators on the shopfloor, including supporting the introduction of new test equipment
Test and diagnose complex electrical/electronic systems, sub-assemblies and circuit cards down to component level
Generate test specifications, operator instructions and technical reports (based on higher-level requirements and information)
Identify remedial/corrective actions following production test failures to keep manufacturing running to plan
Support meetings with Quality and Operations, providing status updates on actions and investigations
Essential:
Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in an Engineering discipline
Strong understanding of digital and analogue electronic measurement/test principles and fault diagnosis (down to component level)
Awareness of electrical/electronic sub-system and system design, integration and test principles
Good written/verbal communication (including producing test specs, operator instructions, technical reports)
Ability to plan and organise work to priorities
Advantageous:
Knowledge of RF and Microwave technology at sub-system level
Experience operating manual and automated test equipment in an electronics manufacturing environment
