As a Payments Solution Architect, you'll work as part of a multi-disciplinary architecture team, supporting Payments strategic programmes and value stream initiatives to shape and assure the technical direction for Nationwide's Payments systems. We're looking for someone with an established track record of architecting solutions, practical delivery experience, sound judgement and applied knowledge of the payments domain.
This role sits within the Payments Architecture team in Customer Technology Delivery, aligned to the Payments Chief Information Office. The team is responsible for defining the Payments technical roadmap, shaping solution options and ensuring the deliverables align to that roadmap, enterprise guardrails and relevant industry standards.

For this job you'll spend at least two days per week, or if part time you'll spend 40% of your working time, based at either our Swindon, London or Glasgowoffice. If you're based at our Glasgow office, this will apply from 1 April 2027 and ahead of that there will be a need to regularly connect with colleagues for collaboration events.
