The Architecture team serves as the governance lead, strategic architecture owner, and architecture development authority for the organization. This is a small, focused team responsible for developing innovative solutions, exploring emerging technology opportunities, shaping future architectures, and providing strategic technical vision and guidance across the business.
Role OverviewThis is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
Lead the architecture strategy and governance for the UK and Emerging Markets, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and regional business objectives. Define scalable, secure, and compliant solution architectures across credit, fraud, marketing, and consumer data platforms. Drive AI and modernization initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance products, services, and operational efficiency. Partner with Product, Engineering, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Data Governance teams to deliver business and regulatory outcomes. Translate customer, business, and regulatory requirements into technical solutions that are scalable, secure, and fit for purpose. Establish and maintain regional architecture standards, reference architectures, governance forums, and best practices. Develop architecture roadmaps that balance immediate market needs with long-term platform strategy. Provide technical leadership and guidance across architecture reviews, governance activities, and strategic initiatives.
Required Knowledge And ExperiencesExtensive experience in Solution, Enterprise, or Platform Architecture leadership roles. Strong knowledge of credit bureau, credit reporting, financial services, or data-driven platforms. Experience leading architecture governance, technology standards, and enterprise-wide architecture practices. Strong understanding of regulatory and data protection frameworks, including UK GDPR and related regulations. Proven experience designing large-scale, data-intensive, and enterprise-integrated solutions. Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive outcomes across cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts for varied audiences.
Preferred SkillsExperience with AI, machine learning, and modernization initiatives within regulated industries. Experience evaluating technology partners, platforms, and build-versus-buy decisions. Exposure to multi-market or international regulatory environments.
