£35,000 - £40,000 + Overtime + No weekend work + Company Van + Career Development. Midlands: Leicester, Derby, Nottingham, Coventry, Birmingham

Are you an experienced Gate Automation Engineer looking for a field-based role with excellent work-life balance, no out-of-hours call-outs, and the opportunity to work on a variety of installation, service, and maintenance projects?

Work for an established automation company providing installation, maintenance, safety upgrades, and retrofit solutions for automated gate systems. They are now looking for a Gate Automation Engineer to support their growing customer base while delivering exceptional service and technical expertise.

The day to day of this role includes installing new gate automation systems, carrying out servicing, fault finding, safety upgrades, and retrofit projects on existing systems. You will work independently on larger installations, complete customer reports using a tablet, and travel across the Midlands.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience with gate automation systems, strong fault-finding abilities, and a good understanding of access control or door automation systems. Experience with manufacturers such as CAME, Roger, Beninca, or BFT would be advantageous, as would welding or electrical installation qualifications.

The role
  • Installation, service, maintenance and fault finding
  • Home-based with travel across the Midlands
  • Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm
The person
  • Previous experience with gate automation systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Knowledge of access control or door automation systems
  • Strong communication skills and understanding of health & safety
