Hours: Full-time 37.5 hours About the Role:
MPA Recruitment, on behalf of the Business Services Organisation (BSO), is recruiting Band 5 ICT Operations Support Officers to join the Digital Operations team. This role provides second-line ICT support across Health and Social Care services in Northern Ireland, ensuring critical business and clinical systems remain operational. Working within an ITIL and ISO-accredited environment, you'll support system maintenance, troubleshooting, service requests, projects and customer support while contributing to the delivery of high-quality ICT services.
Key Responsibilities:
ICT Support & Systems Management
- Provide second-line technical support for ICT systems and applications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical incidents, service requests and system issues.
- Support system implementation, maintenance and configuration management.
- Monitor ICT services to ensure performance, availability and reliability.
Customer & Technical Support
- Provide technical advice and guidance to customers and system users.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers and third-party providers.
- Escalate complex technical issues where required and ensure service levels are met.
Service Improvement & Compliance
- Support ICT audits, security compliance and operational documentation.
- Assist with service reporting, policy development and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with ITIL processes, information governance and organisational standards.
Project & Team Support
- Contribute to ICT projects and system implementations.
- Research emerging technologies and recommend service improvements.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and external suppliers to deliver high-quality ICT services.
What We're Looking for? Essential Criteria:
- Applicants must meet one of the following:
- Degree in a Computer Science-related discipline with 1 year's relevant ICT experience; or
- HND in a Computer Science-related discipline with 2 years' relevant ICT experience; or
- 4 years' relevant ICT systems support experience.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyse technical issues and work under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable
- Experience delivering customer-focused ICT services.
- Knowledge of Health & Social Care systems.
- ITIL Foundation Certification.
