Job Description

Purpose of the Role

Design, develop and improve software using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools to provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for customers and colleagues.

Accountabilities
  • Deliver high quality software solutions that are scalable, maintainable, and optimised for performance.
  • Collaborate cross functionally with product managers, designers, and engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
  • Participate in code reviews, promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing, and stay informed of industry technology trends.
  • Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
  • Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
Analyst Expectations
  • Perform prescribed activities in a timely manner and to a high standard, driving continuous improvement.
  • Apply in depth technical knowledge and experience within the assigned area of expertise.
  • Lead and supervise a team, guiding professional development and allocating work; or, for an individual contributor, develop technical expertise and act as an advisor when appropriate.
  • Communicate complex or sensitive information, influence decision making and manage risk to strengthen controls.
  • Take ownership of end results of operations and activities, ensuring compliance with relevant rules, regulations and codes of conduct.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administration and configuration of Jira and Confluence from a customer perspective.
  • Writing JQL queries for data extraction and insight generation.
  • Problem solving, incident response and handling at all levels from triage to remediation.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Experience with administration and configuration of Jira and Confluence.
  • Proficiency in writing JQL queries.
  • Strong problem solving and incident response skills.
  • Experience as a point of contact for stakeholders across functions.
Preferred Skills
  • Groovy scripting.
  • Atlassian certifications.
  • Knowledge of AWS infrastructure, EC2, Chef, Deployment Tools, and GitOps.
