About The Team

You'll be joining the team, which values collaboration, ownership, and a commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We have an exciting opportunity for a Web Engineer to join our growing technical team for Joybuy (). Joybuy is 's European full-category online retail brand designed to bring customers a faster, more convenient, and cost-effective shopping experience. In this role, you will build and optimise user-facing web experiences that support high-traffic e-commerce scenarios. You will work closely with product team backend engineers to deliver scalable, customer-focused frontend solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications and user-facing features.
• Participate in requirement discussions, technical design, and code reviews.
• Optimise frontend performance, stability, and usability across browsers and devices.
• Collaborate with backend engineers to integrate APIs and ensure reliable data flow.
• Deliver features according to requirements and agreed delivery timelines.
• Research and experiment with new technologies to support the evolution of frontend engineering practices within the team.
• Work onsite in London, UK.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or a related field.
• 3+ years of frontend web development experience using React or similar frameworks.
• Advanced knowledge in one or more programming languages, Javascript/Typescript, HTML/CSS.
• Understanding of modern frontend principles, including responsive design, component-based architecture, and state management.
• Solid programming foundation with attention to code quality and maintainability.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Chinese.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with e-commerce or high-traffic consumer platforms.
• Familiarity with modern frontend build tools, testing tools, workflows and practices.
• Experience working with international or distributed teams.
