As a Cyber Security Analyst at the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), you'll be at the heart of the UK's cyber defence. You'll work alongside industry, intelligence partners, international allies and law enforcement to prevent, disrupt and investigate serious cyber threats. In this role you will help develop a detailed understanding of how hostile cyber actors operate, deliver evidence based guidance, and build insight into adversaries' intent, capabilities and vulnerabilities.

Depending on your skills and interests, you may specialise in intrusion analysis, operational technology, penetration testing, malware analysis or networking and telecommunications security.

We are looking for someone with enthusiasm to learn, who can adapt and apply skills across investigative problems to deliver meaningful impact. You should hold a STEM degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent technical/cyber experience, and demonstrate GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4 or above) if you do not have a degree. A keen interest in cyber security, an analytical approach and a proactive, problem solving mindset are essential.

You will be comfortable working collaboratively and independently, exploring, understanding and communicating complex technical concepts clearly. A tenacious, naturally curious approach and continuous learning are expected.

Your starting salary is £37,892, which includes a concessionary payment of £2,758. The role also attracts a specialist skills payment, assessed against relevant criteria.
