24/7 shift based role with 4 on / 4 off schedule.

• Day shifts: 07:00-19:00
• Night shifts: 19:00-07:00

• Proactively monitor network performance, capacity and availability using enterprise monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Juniper MIST).
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve network faults across LAN, WAN, SDWAN, and telecom services while minimising service impact.
• Log, manage, and progress incidents and service requests through the full lifecycle, maintaining accurate updates and detailed documentation.
• Work within defined Service Level Agreements to ensure timely resolution and high first time fix rates.
• Perform routine network health checks and preventative maintenance, deploying patches, firmware updates and minor configuration changes.
• Produce clear incident reports, shift handovers, and technical documentation.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior engineers or external vendors when appropriate.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders, remaining calm under pressure.

• Practical experience troubleshooting across routing and switching technologies.
• Experience working as a Network Engineer in an enterprise or service provider environment (desired).
• Understanding of networking fundamentals including TCP/IP, DNS, LAN/WAN, VLANs and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
• Experience supporting multi vendor environments (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, AWS).
• Familiarity with monitoring, alerting and ticketing systems (SolarWinds, ServiceNow, BMC Remedy).
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to remain calm and methodical during high severity incidents.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and documentation standards.
• Team oriented with confidence to take ownership of incidents and decisions.
• CCNA or equivalent certification desirable but not essential (CCNP, JNCIA advantageous).
• Eligible to obtain Security Clearance.

• Annual salary up to £32,000 plus a 30% shift allowance.
