Role Profile

The successful candidate for the Engineer, Post Trade role will work with the Director Technical Delivery Solution and Delivery. You will be part of a team building a complex, ground up cloud based critical market infrastructure service in a bold new venture for LSEG. This opening requires a candidate who takes great pride in delivering excellence with strong logical and technical skills, a can do attitude, and a willingness to play a critical role in forming and growing a new business.

Key Skills and Experience
  • Event driven microservice architecture: strong understanding of microservices design, pitfalls, best practices, Domain Driven Design (DDD), event driven principles, Docker, Kubernetes, and event driven patterns.
  • DevOps and testing: building and maintaining pipelines (GitLab preferred), shift left testing using JUnit, Cucumber, Gherkin, PACT, Test Containers, and knowledge of Kafka, MQ.
  • Java expertise: advanced experience with Java 17+, OOP, Spring Boot, RESTful services, Swagger/OpenAPI, Spring MVC, enterprise grade Java applications, data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and multi threading.
  • Database management: strong SQL skills with Postgres, familiarity with object storage (AWS S3), database version control (Flyway, Liquibase).
  • Cloud architecture: experience with AWS (Aurora, MSK, S3, IAM) and basic cloud networking concepts.
  • Blockchain integration: understanding of blockchain fundamentals, consensus mechanisms, smart contracts, interoperability protocols, cross chain communication, and security considerations.
  • Agile working: commitment to agile principles, experience with Scrum and Kanban, sprint ceremonies, product backlog refinement, and collaboration in scaled agile environments.
