Senior Cloud Engineer
Location: Norwich, Bristol, York or Eastleigh
Salary: Circa 60k
This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing Cloud Platform Engineering team and take on important, complex work from day one. Are you someone who works confidently across AWS and wants to broaden your experience in a cutting edge environment?
Working in a market leading Financial Services organisation, for the benefit of millions of customers, this role puts you hands on with a large, dynamic cloud platform. Help us scale it, sharpen it, and serve our customers better.
A bit about the role:This is a hands on role where you'll own important, complex work and see it through to the end. You'll build, and improve our cloud services, make sound engineering decisions, and take an active part in the design and architecture of what we deliver. You'll spot where things can be better and turn those ideas into changes that line up with Aviva's technology priorities.
You'll be someone our more junior engineers can learn from, sharing what you know, setting a good example, and helping raise the standard for how we build in the cloud. You'll work alongside our engineering leaders and internal customer teams to deliver technology solutions that are reliable, well made and useful to our internal teams.
We favour cloud native services, and treat Infrastructure as Code as the rule, not the exception.
Cloud isn't just where we run things at Aviva, it's how we move faster, build smarter, and deliver for millions of customers. We're looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer to join a collaborative engineering team where great ideas matter, and the best ones shine.
Skills and experience we're looking for:We're inclusive and welcome everyone - we want applications from all backgrounds and experiences. Excited but not sure you tick every box? Even if you don't, we would still encourage you to apply. We also consider all forms of flexible working, including part time and job shares.
We flex locations, hours and working patterns to suit our customers, business, and you. Most of our people are smart working - spending at least 50% of their time in our offices every week - combining the benefits of flexibility with time together with colleagues.
