Job Description

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and develop the team: manage approximately 7 developers and technical specialists across Visualfiles/Everyfile and .NET.
  • Provide day to day leadership, coaching, and support; conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and development conversations.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high performing team culture; support career development and succession planning.
  • Oversee delivery of development projects, system enhancements, and production support activities; prioritise workload across multiple concurrent workstreams.
  • Balance business as usual support with strategic project delivery; manage risks, issues, and delivery dependencies.
  • Ensure solutions meet agreed quality, performance and security standards.
  • Act as technical lead for Visualfiles/Everyfile solutions; guide solution design and development best practice.
  • Support complex problem solving and technical decision making.
  • Drive continuous improvement of tooling, processes and solution architecture.
  • Lead release and deployment activities; enforce testing, governance, and change controls.
  • Support the firm's focus on automation, workflow optimisation and AI enabled solutions; identify opportunities to improve efficiency and enhance internal technology platforms.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across IT and the wider business; communicate delivery progress, timelines and risks.
  • Manage relationships with third party vendors and development partners.
What We're Looking For
  • Essential experience leading software development teams.
  • Experience managing multiple competing priorities and workstreams.
  • Proven ability to balance project delivery with operational support activities.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Desirable: strong experience working with Visualfiles/Everyfile.
  • Desirable: exposure to or understanding of .NET / C# development.
  • Desirable: experience in a legal, professional services or regulated environment.
  • Desirable: experience with case or matter management systems.
  • Desirable: experience driving process improvements, automation or team efficiency initiatives.
