MITER Maintainer

We are excited to offer a fantastic 12 month contract for a MITER (Military Integrated Training Equipment Resource) Maintainer based in various locations including onsite at Ripon, HG4 2RD. You will proactively maintain a fleet of military and commercial MHE, plant vehicles and ancillaries within their engineering capabilities, maximizing operational availability by investigating failures and eliminating faults.

Successful candidates who achieve Sponsored Reservist Status (trained as a special member of the UK Ministry of Defence's Army Reserve) will have the opportunity to secure a permanent contract.

• Service and maintenance of diesel, MOTS (modified off the shelf) and customised MHE and plant vehicles and ancillaries.
• Coordinate with controller and customer to convey expected work scope, timelines, and costs.
• Identify root causes of breakdowns and secure correct parts cost effectively, involving the technical team when needed.
• Inspect and check own work to ensure equipment's safe performance before handing back to the customer.
• Identify any additional work required, inform customer, and maximise revenue for damaged equipment.
• Complete all related job and service documentation accurately, obtaining necessary signatures and documents.
