Job Description
This role is hybrid with 2 days from our Edinburgh offices.
The Backend team develops the core of the Alta Video Management System, a cloud based distributed system that monitors and manages video cameras, access control systems and sensors.
The team is responsible for analyzing, developing, designing, and maintaining the entire backend ecosystem - building new features, expanding capabilities and capacities, and maintaining CI/CD systems and customer deployments. We operate in an agile environment that values autonomy, collaboration, quality, and security.
Basic Requirements
- Experience as a software developer.
- Experience building back end for large cloud based distributed systems.
- Familiarity with a backend language such as Go, C++, Java, Rust or Python.
- Passion for writing high quality code and demonstrating outstanding technical ability.
- Enthusiasm and willingness to learn new languages and technologies.
- Bonus: Understanding of service oriented architectures and cloud based products.
- Bonus: Experience with Machine Learning, Computer Vision, or AI technologies.
