Head of Environment as a Service (EaaS) - UK
Purpose of the RoleTo manage the efficient delivery of large scale technical projects and capabilities across the bank and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations throughout the software product lifecycle, adhering to agreed time, budget and quality requirements.
Accountabilities• Manage delivery, resource allocation and improvement of complex technical project capabilities across the bank using Agile/Scrum methodologies for planning, stand ups, demos, retrospectives and sprint execution.• Collaborate with customers and business teams to manage and implement customer trails to support technically feasible solutions and expectation management.• Work with software engineers, quality teams, product managers and other engineering teams to deliver high quality products and features through the software project lifecycle, aligned to the bank's objectives, regulatory and security policies.• Identify, assess and mitigate risks associated with technical projects to prepare the bank for potential challenges.• Manage change requests and communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.• Manage vendor relations involved in technical projects to ensure delivery according to agreed terms.• Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and evaluate and adopt new approaches to improve delivery outcomes, fostering a culture of continuous learning, technical excellence and growth.

Infrastructure & Enterprise Technology - Strong understanding of infrastructure platforms and enterprise technology environments. Experience operating within regulated, mission critical, high availability organisations; ability to balance strategic priorities with operational delivery.
Desirable Skills - Team leadership in complex environments, modern engineering practices (CI/CD, automation, virtualization, operating systems, networking, observable technologies), inclusive leadership, and the ability to navigate ambiguity, change and competing priorities while maintaining team performance.
