IT Operations Lead

We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Operations Lead to join our growing Transformation Team at Mental Health Matters. The role involves providing technical leadership and operational management for MHM's IT systems, infrastructure and digital services, ensuring that technology is reliable, secure and future ready.

Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £39,357 - £43,791 per annum
Location: Hybrid - Waterside House, Sunderland, SR5 2TZ

• Oversee day to day performance of the IT environment.
• Manage supplier relationships and contracts with the Managed Service Provider.
• Support and drive digital transformation projects across the organisation.
• Maintain cyber security posture and support data protection compliance.
• Enable the safe and ethical adoption of emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.

• Experience managing IT operations, infrastructure and digital systems within a complex organisation.
• Experience working with Managed Service Providers and managing supplier performance against agreed service levels.
• Confidence overseeing IT projects and contributing to digital transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems administration and service delivery.
• Good working knowledge of UK GDPR, data protection legislation and cyber security best practice.
• Experience supporting end users and delivering an excellent customer focused IT service.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts clearly to non technical colleagues.
• Strong organisational and problem solving skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands in a fast paced environment.
• Collaborative, approachable and committed to building positive working relationships across teams.
• Passionate about innovation, continuous improvement and using technology to make a positive difference.
• Beneficial experience within the charity, health or social care sector, supporting cloud based infrastructure, managing IT procurement and contracts, acting as or supporting a Data Protection Officer, or implementing emerging technologies such as AI.
