Senior Data Engineer - OnTheMarket Technology - London

CoStar Group is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces. In December 2023 CoStar Group acquired OnTheMarket (OTM) with the goal of making it the UK's number one residential property portal.

The Senior Data Engineer will be a key member of the OTM Data team, reporting to the Head of Data and working closely with the CTO. Responsibilities include data acquisition, loading, quality, processing, delivery, and support for OnTheMarket. The role focuses on leveraging data to improve user and agent experiences by building robust data pipelines and APIs.

• Develop data pipelines using Python and Airflow
• Design and manage data warehousing solutions in Redshift/Spectrum
• Build data solutions to address business needs
• Maintain existing reports and enhance their performance

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience writing SQL queries and optimizing query performance
• Strong skills in Python
• Experience with AWS or GCP
• Demonstrated experience building and managing ETL pipelines
• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Amazon Redshift and Google BigQuery
• Building visualizations using tools such as Looker Studio or equivalent
• Experience in designing ETL/ELT solutions, preferably with Airflow or AWS Glue
• Strong analytical and technical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with business users

• Development and deployment of machine learning models using PyTorch
• Experience with GIS systems (PostGIS, QGIS, etc.)
