About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Technical Coordinator - Data & Systems to support a busy Technical Department within a manufacturing environment.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys working with technical data, systems, reporting and process improvement. The role combines technical administration, customer support, data management and continuous improvement, helping to improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage customer-facing technical documentation, including data sheets, specifications and product information.
- Respond to technical enquiries and support the preparation of quotations and pricing information.
- Coordinate product testing, sample submissions and development activities.
- Maintain accurate technical and product data across internal systems.
- Ensure documentation is up to date, correctly controlled and aligned with quality standards.
- Develop and maintain reports, dashboards and departmental performance metrics.
- Monitor technical workloads, project activity and customer response times to support planning and decision making.
- Assist with the introduction of new systems, digital solutions and workflow automation initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy and service delivery.
- Support the scheduling of laboratory activities, customer trials, meetings and technical projects.
- Collaborate closely with Technical, Production and Commercial teams to deliver a high level of customer support and operational excellence.
About You
- Degree, HNC/HND qualification in Science, Engineering or a related discipline, or relevant industry experience.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing, laboratory, engineering or technical environment.
- Advanced Excel skills with the ability to generate reports, analyse data and identify trends.
- Experience using ERP, MRP or other business management systems.
- Understanding of technical documentation, document control and data management processes.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work across departments and liaise with customers.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- A proactive approach to continuous improvement, process optimisation and digital innovation.
- Interest in automation, reporting tools and emerging technologies, including AI-enabled solutions.
Desirable
- Power BI experience.
- Experience with Power Automate or workflow automation.
- Knowledge of AI tools and digital transformation projects.
- Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience.
