Job Description

Technical Delivery Lead

Facilitates and coordinates Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to ensure that multiple teams within a program are aligned and delivering value efficiently. It manages dependencies, removes impediments, and oversees the planning and execution of Program Increments, fostering collaboration across teams and aligning with business objectives while driving continuous improvement in large-scale Agile environments.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate Agile Planning and Events: ensure readiness across scope, content, and logistics to deliver value through facilitation of team of teams events.
  • Support Planning Execution: monitor planning execution, facilitate periodic synchronization events, and support cross team backlog refinement to ensure strategic alignment to business goals.
  • Coach Cross Team Agile: provide coaching to teams and Scrum Masters on cross team agile principles, team events, and practices.
  • Mitigate Risks: identify and track cross team dependencies and risks, ensuring mitigation to support delivery of outcomes and remove blockers.
  • Stakeholder Management: facilitate stakeholder collaboration (business stakeholders, product teams, vendors), build trust with stakeholders, and drive stakeholder alignment.
  • Champion Ways of Working: champion agile culture, creating a safe and trusting environment for team members to share ideas and take appropriate risks.
  • Coordinate Interlock and Dependency Management: drive partnership and synchronization across teams to facilitate release management across stakeholder groups.
  • Optimize Flow: drive relentless improvement, monitor delivery status, ensure technology use and data quality, address bottlenecks, and serve as a point of escalation.
  • Metrics and Reporting: track and report key metrics, represent at leadership and governance forums, and ensure continuous delivery improvement.
Qualifications
  • Deep technical leadership across Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, APIs, distributed systems and cloud native architectures, with the ability to lead technical design and delivery decisions across complex engineering environments.
  • Experience leading large scale SAFe Agile Release Trains, including PI Planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, delivery governance and driving predictable outcomes across multiple teams.
  • Experience delivering complex enterprise transformation programmes with strong stakeholder management skills, including governance, RAID management, executive communication and collaboration across Architecture, Engineering, Product, Operations, Finance and Control functions.
  • Experience within Banking Book, Subledger, General Ledger, Accounting Controls, Treasury, Product Control or Finance Reporting environments.
  • Knowledge of data and integration architecture, including financial data platforms, reconciliation processes, event sourcing, APIs, ETL pipelines, messaging platforms and large scale data transformations.
  • Strong engineering excellence and DevOps mindset, including automation, CI/CD, test automation, release management, engineering metrics, code quality and continuous improvement practices.
  • Key critical skills relevant for success in the role: risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking, digital and technology, and job specific technical skills.
