Job Description

A fast-growing MGA with ambitious expansion plans is looking for a commercially minded Schemes Developer to play a central role in building out a delegated authority capability from the ground up.

The opportunity

This is a genuine growth play. The business has a clear target to scale its P&C portfolio significantly by 2030, and schemes development is identified as a key pillar of that strategy. You'll be joining at the point where the concept has been approved, the platform is being rebuilt, and the path is clear - what's needed now is the right person to go and find the business.

What you'll be doing
  • Identifying, developing and onboarding schemes business, with an initial focus on smaller, efficient schemes in the £100k £250k range
  • Working closely with the internal underwriting team and capacity provider to bring new delegated facilities to market
  • Building relationships with brokers and scheme operators across the UK
  • Contributing to the long term strategy for the schemes function as the portfolio grows
What we're looking for
  • A strong understanding of the schemes and DA market - you know how these deals work and have the contacts to make things happen
  • A sales mentality; this is a business development role first and foremost
  • Underwriting experience is not essential - market knowledge and commercial drive matter more
  • Someone comfortable working in a building phase, without an existing team around them
  • South based, with the ability to travel to London regularly
