Overview
Senior Full Stack Developer role in Leeds. Hybrid work arrangement with two days in the office each week. You will design, build, and deliver high-quality solutions across the full technology stack in a cloud-native environment, collaborating with Product, Delivery, and Platform teams to enable secure, scalable, and user-focused applications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable full-stack applications across the front end, back end, APIs, and data integrations.
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of features from technical design and architecture through development, testing, and deployment.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following modern engineering standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Partner with Platform and DevOps teams to enable reliable deployments, strong system observability, and efficient CI/CD processes.
- Champion code quality through peer reviews, automated testing, and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, contributing to engineering standards and design principles across the team.
- Actively contribute within an Agile Scrum environment, supporting sprint planning, solution design, estimation, and delivery.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues using logs, monitoring, metrics, and tracing tools.
- Influence technical direction and architectural decisions to shape the future of our platforms and products.
- Mentor and support less experienced engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting engineering excellence.
What we're looking for
- Proven experience designing, building, and supporting full-stack applications within cloud-native and/or SaaS environments.
- Strong expertise in modern front-end frameworks, ideally React, and component-based development.
- Solid back-end development experience using C# and .NET frameworks.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, API design best practices, and microservices architecture.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or another major cloud provider, including managed services and database integrations.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, source control, and release automation practices.
- Experience implementing automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end).
- Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases, data modelling, and performance optimisation.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security principles.
- Experience with containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Cloud Run, Kubernetes).
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills using logs, metrics, traces, and profiling tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate across engineering, platform, and delivery teams.
