Role: IT Manager

Location: Burnley

Salary: £60K - £65K

DOEMorson are recruiting on behalf of a leading global engineering and manufacturing organisation for an experienced IT Manager to join their team in Burnley. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced IT professional with a strong 3rd Line background who is looking to take the next step into a leadership role, or for an established IT Manager wanting to join a large international business. You'll lead a team of 7 IT professionals, acting as the senior technical point of contact while driving projects, mentoring your team and ensuring the delivery of a high-quality IT service across the site. Working closely with both UK and international colleagues, you'll play a key role in supporting business operations, improving IT services and delivering technology projects across multiple European locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, develop and mentor a team of 7 IT professionals
  • Act as the final technical escalation point for complex IT issues
  • Lead and deliver a range of IT projects from planning through to implementation
  • Ensure the ongoing performance, availability and security of business systems
  • Manage software upgrades, hardware refreshes and technology improvements
  • Oversee backup, patching and disaster recovery processes
  • Work closely with international IT teams to deliver global initiatives
  • Support business critical incidents and coordinate technical resolution when required
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business
  • Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance IT services
  • Monitor performance, risks and project delivery through regular reporting
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a 3rd Line IT Support, Senior IT Engineer or similar technical role
  • Experience leading, mentoring or managing technical teams
  • Strong knowledge of Operating Systems, Enterprise Storage, Virtualisation and Cloud technologies (experience desirable)
  • Experience delivering IT projects from inception through to completion
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving abilities
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to leadership
  • Experience within manufacturing or engineering would be advantageous but is not essential
