Assess technical, commercial and programme risks associated with obsolete or discontinued parts. Develop practical mitigation strategies, including redesign, alternative sourcing and lifetime buys. Produce detailed technical solution documents that provide clear engineering justification for proposed solutions. Maintain and update the project's Obsolescence Management Plan (OMP). Ensure obsolescence activities comply with IEC 62402:2019 and internal engineering processes. Work closely with Systems, Design, Support, Procurement and Supply Chain teams to resolve obsolescence challenges. Support engineering change and configuration management activities where component changes are required. Prioritise workload to meet programme KPIs for high, medium and low priority investigations. Present technical recommendations to internal stakeholders and customer approval authorities.
