Job Title: Printed Packaging Prnt Development Technician

In order to achieve regulatory requirements, product relocations, brand launches, design changes and to support sales growth strategy, a secondment opportunity is available at the Nottingham Manufacturing site. The main duties of the role include:

• Detailed planning, coordination and supervision of strategic and local brand printed packaging materials
• Act as consultant to Central Marketing, Regional Marketing and design agencies to optimise designs for economical production
• Create artworks and standardise brand designs
• Determine print standards and specifications (print method, colours, ink, tool suppliers)
• Specify print source and method in conjunction with the Purchasing Department
• Approve first print run
• Qualify new printers worldwide

The successful applicant will be highly organised with strong project management and communication skills. Understanding of internal processes such as AGP, Purchasing, Project Control and Coordination, Packaging Development, and Customer Services is an advantage. Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a high pressure environment and willingness to travel in the UK and overseas are required.

Applicants are ideally expected to have completed professional training or a degree in print technology with a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.

High level of IT skills in Microsoft Office packages and basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop are desirable. Understanding of data based programs would be a distinct advantage.
