Core Responsibilities as Blender Generalist TD

• Workflow Integration: Support all artistic disciplines within Blender by developing, testing, and maintaining bespoke internal tools, automation scripts, and custom pipeline workflows.
• Environment Management: Leverage Rez and Pyblish frameworks to handle package ecosystem configurations and publish-validation steps, guaranteeing clean asset transitions down the pipeline.
• Independent Scripting: Comfortably design, build, and debug robust pipeline scripts from scratch using Python, ensuring seamless cross-talk between different production tools.

Production Troubleshooting & Technical Support

• Daily Problem Solving: Diagnose and resolve urgent technical bottlenecks mid-production, providing quick, stable solutions to asset and shot-related challenges.
• Cross-Discipline Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with Producers, CG Supervisors, and the 3D art team to translate production needs into efficient technical setups.
• Render Optimization: Analyze 3D scenes to improve rendering efficiency, balancing high-fidelity asset visuals with optimized, cost-effective render times.

R&D and Pipeline Evolution

• Tech Innovations: Stay completely up-to-date with emerging CG animation tools, Blender software updates, and advanced technical art processes.
• Geometry Nodes & Tech Art: Own, configure, and troubleshoot Geometry Nodes networks to streamline layout, generation, or procedural placement behaviors for artists.

Professional Experience & Soft Skills

• CG Pipeline Comprehension: A thorough understanding of full-scale CG animation pipelines and modern digital content creation (DCC) techniques.
• Adaptive Problem Solving: An innovative, proactive approach to troubleshooting technical asset or rendering bugs with a knack for finding creative solutions.
• Autonomy & Organization: Highly organized and self-motivated, with a proven ability to manage time independently across multiple concurrent projects.
• Clear Communication: Strong interpersonal skills, allowing for seamless communication with artists, managers, and directors. You take constructive feedback positively and act on notes effectively.

Technical & Scripting Skillsets

• Production Python: Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Python scripting within a studio pipeline environment, showing comfort writing and maintaining standalone tools.
• Framework Familiarity: Professional exposure to Rez package management and Pyblish validation pipelines (or closely related open-source studio software).
• Generalist Mindset: Broad, versatile baseline knowledge across multiple 3D sectors (modeling, lookdev, animation, layout, or lighting) to tackle multifaceted technical bugs.
