Main Responsibilities
As a Site Security Officer you will provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, complete incident reports and collaborate with local authorities.
- Carry out site duties in line with company policies and procedures.
- Conduct internal and external site patrols, including perimeter and fire door checks.
- Prevent unauthorized access to or within perimeters and buildings.
- Liaise with the technical team daily to report any alarm, CCTV or gate issues on sites.
- Coordinate with departmental heads of staff regarding property or asset issues.
- Respond to all incidents or emergencies onsite.
- Manage site gatehouse duties.
- Handle site keys and incident report management.
- Ensure the safety of people on site by reporting any health and safety breaches found.
Operational Performance
- Ensure that access/egress duties are actioned in line with company policies.
- Adhere to company training and processes in the pursuit of your duties.
- Provide excellent customer service, remaining courteous and professional at all times.
- Undertake refresher and developmental training as required.
Relevant Skills and Experience
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office and bespoke systems (training will be provided).
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Customer service oriented, demonstrating professionalism and compassion.
- Capacity to work under pressure.
- Team player with the ability to work on own initiative.
General
- Show flexibility and adapt to new requests outside of the core role on request.
- Respond to all customer requests in a timely manner.

The Person
Confident communicator able to provide detailed verbal and written accounts of criminal activity, welcoming and patient with customers, and able to handle conflict professionally.
Required Experience and Qualification
- Valid SIA licence.
- Previous experience in a retail security role is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
