We are seeking a highly technical Business Intelligence Engineer to join our growing BI team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain a robust data warehouse.
- Oversee ingestion of varied and complex datasets at scale.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers and BI Analysts to design, implement, and optimize data warehouse schemas.
- Architect, build, and maintain user friendly dashboards and complex data visualizations.
- Champion data quality and implement automation pipelines to ensure accuracy, reliability, and timeliness.
- Drive improvements in data governance and uphold best in class data management practices.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to all levels of the organization, including the C suite.
- Mentor BI Analysts and upskill the team in technical competencies and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Expert SQL: Master level proficiency in writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex SQL queries.
- Strong programming skills in Python (or a similar language) for data manipulation and automation.
- Deep knowledge of modern database and data warehouse design principles.
- Extensive experience with industry leading BI tools such as Tableau.
- Solid experience using source control (e.g., Git).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to translate technical concepts for non technical audiences.
Desirable Skills (Nice to Have)
- Experience with ingestion tooling and orchestration platforms for automated data pipelines.
- Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
- Knowledge of C# and .NET environment.
- Experience with AI assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot or AI enhanced data workflows.
