We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Developer to join our growing development team. You'll take ownership of complex projects, mentor junior developers, and play a pivotal role in shaping our technical solutions across multiple industries - including Data and AI initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain high-quality software applications using modern technologies
- Take ownership of features and modules from requirements through to deployment
- Lead and participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to peers
- Mentor junior developers and support their professional growth
- Troubleshoot and debug complex application issues, optimising performance and reliability
- Architect and implement database solutions, including design and maintenance
- Deploy and maintain cloud-hosted solutions (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
- Drive agile development processes - sprint planning, refinement, and retrospectives
- Engage confidently with clients, supporting our Managed Service offering
- Diagnose and resolve complex Microsoft-related technical issues for clients
- Stay current with emerging technologies and bring new ideas to the team
Minimum 3 years' commercial software development experience gained within the UK - this is a strict requirement.
- Degree-level education in a relevant discipline (or equivalent practical experience)
- Proven experience with modern frameworks such as React, Vue, Laravel, or similar
- Strong understanding of databases and SQL
- Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud)
- Experience working within agile methodologiesExcellent communication skills - written and spoken - including client-facing interactions
- Right to work in the UK
- Experience with Data and AI technologies
- Experience with PHP and the Laravel framework
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with testing frameworks and a test-driven development approach
- Personal or open-source projects that demonstrate your passion for development
