Workshop Engineer

Contract: Permanent Location: Dewsbury, Forkway

Forkway is one of the UK's leading material-handling solutions providers, employing around 100 people across three Handling Centres and several strategic service hubs.

The Impact You Will Have
  • Carry out the repair and maintenance of industrial, agricultural, and warehouse trucks, along with associated equipment, ensuring maximum efficiency, reliability, and profitability.
  • Identify, record, and report all faults and damage accurately using the appropriate Forkway documentation.
  • Deliver a professional, responsive, and high quality service to customers by maintaining and repairing materials handling equipment to the highest standards while adhering to all Health & Safety regulations.
  • Complete all required paperwork-service sheets, breakdown reports, accident reports, timesheets, quotes, and more-accurately and on time.
What Will Help You Excel in This Role
  • Previous experience working on Cars, Vans, HGVs, Forklifts, or Plant machinery.
  • Ability to strip and rebuild hydraulic valve banks, cylinders, and gear pumps.
  • Competence in interpreting test data for main, forward/reverse clutch, torque converter pressure, and performing full stall tests.
