What You'll Do
As a Full Stack Engineer, you'll be a core contributor as we scale our platform, launch new revenue streams, and deepen the value we offer students, parents and partners.
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs using the latest versions of PHP and Laravel
- Develop frontend experiences across React, Next.js and React Native (Expo)
- Work within an AWS environment (EC2, AppRunner, CodePipeline, S3, RDS)
- Collaborate closely with internal Product and Design teams - with clear ownership, strong feedback loops, and real influence on decisions
- Contribute to a clean, modular codebase with a MySQL database at its core
- Review code, share knowledge, and help shape best practices across the team
- Use AI tools in your development workflow while applying sound engineering judgement and QA
What We're Looking For
- 2x mid level Full Stack Engineer (around 3+ years commercial experience), ideally with time spent in a startup or scale up environment
- Comfortable working across the stack with commercial experience in our current stack: Laravel/PHP, React/Next.js/React Native, AWS infrastructure, and MySQL
- Proficient at code quality, performance and maintainability
- Proficient using AI tools such as Cursor and Copilot, and able to review, validate and improve AI assisted output
- Aspirational, proactive and eager to create visible, real world impact
- Enjoys working in a close knit, collaborative engineering team
- Based in the North West and comfortable with our hybrid setup
