SQL Server / T-SQL Developer needed for a market leader based in Maidstone, Kent, who are looking to employ an experienced SQL Server / T-SQL Developer, with an in-depth knowledge of troubleshooting SQL Server / T-SQL, large-scale or high-throughput databases, ETL or batch data processing, Cloud Azure SQL, to optimise complex T-SQL queries across large datasets and Designing and maintaining effective indexing strategies.
Salary: 45,000 - 55,000 per annum

Some of the main duties of the SQL Developer will include:
Optimising complex T-SQL queries across large datasets
Designing and maintaining effective indexing strategies
Analysing execution plans and resolving performance bottlenecks
Investigating and fixing production issues (blocking, deadlocks, slow queries)
Improving database schema design and data integrity
Supporting safe and efficient database changes and deployments
Collaborating with engineers to ensure efficient data access patterns
In order to be the SQL Developer and have a chance to gain such an exciting opportunity you will ideally need to have the following:
Strong experience with SQL Server and T-SQL in production
Proven ability to optimise query performance on large datasets
Deep understanding of execution plans and indexing
Experience troubleshooting blocking, deadlocks, and slow queries
Solid understanding of transactions and isolation levels
Strong data modelling and schema design experience
Experience working on business-critical systems
