This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly technical controls environment within a globally recognised institution, where your development is actively invested in, your expertise is valued, and your progression is genuinely mapped out. You will play a key role in maintaining and optimising critical building infrastructure that underpins world-class teaching and research.

  • Respond to live alarms and system data, prioritising critical issues in real time
  • Support and supervise external contractors when required
  • Maintain accurate system data, backups, and asset information
The Person
  • Electrically biased engineer or technician with experience in Building Management Systems (BMS)
  • Strong understanding of HVAC systems and building services controls
  • Experience with TREND, Niagara 4 or similar BMS platforms
  • Confident fault finder using schematics, data and logical diagnosis
  • Comfortable working in live, occupied environments
  • Basic understanding of networking (Ethernet/IP advantageous)
  • Strong communicator who can work with both engineers and non technical stakeholders
  • A genuine interest in developing into more advanced controls / systems engineering
  • Qualified in Electrical / Building Services (HNC / City & Guilds or equivalent desirable)
