The role ensures McLaren's SAP landscape supports performance, standardisation, agility and S/4HANA transformation.The role requires deep SAP ECC6 and S/4HANA supply chain expertise, with the ability to translate business requirements into integrated, scalable and supportable solutions aligned to SAP best practice, clean core principles and McLaren's enterprise standards.What You'll Do 1) Solution Design & Architecture> Partner with supply chain, manufacturing, procurement, logistics and quality leaders to understand objectives, pain points and process requirements. • Design end-to-end SAP supply chain solutions across planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, with manufacturing, quality and finance touchpoints. • Promote fit-to-standard and clean core, using SAP best practices, standard processes and through use of Fiori capabilities. • Develop solution blueprints, process designs, integration patterns, data flows, configuration principles and functional specifications. • Ensure designs address master data, reporting, security, controls, performance and supportability from the outset. 2) Migration & Modernisation> • Assess the ECC6 supply chain landscape and define the S/4HANA migration approach, including readiness, simplification items, standardisation, custom code, integration and data impacts. • Provide guidance on S/4HANA supply chain capabilities, including embedded analytics, Fiori, MRP, inventory, logistics, manufacturing integration and automation opportunities. • Support transformation roadmaps that balance business value, operational risk, technical debt reduction and adoption readiness.> 3) Governance & Standards > • Ensure SAP supply chain solutions adhere to architecture, security, compliance, controls, performance and supportability standards. • Participate in design authorities and contribute to SAP governance, including design principles, decision records and exception management. • Maintain design consistency across projects, enhancements and AMS delivery, protecting the long-term SAP roadmap. 4) Delivery & Quality Assurance> • Translate business and functional requirements into solution designs, specifications and technical inputs for internal teams, SIs and offshore teams. • Review and validate functional and technical deliverables against architecture principles, business requirements, controls and support needs. • Support build, test, cutover and hypercare, including integration testing, UAT, defect triage, deployment readiness and transition to support. • Provide architectural direction to functional consultants, developers, data specialists and AMS providers to ensure quality delivery. 5) Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory> • Act as a trusted advisor to business and IT stakeholders on SAP supply chain capabilities, standard process adoption and pragmatic solution options. • Provide thought leadership on SAP roadmap, process optimisation, automation, embedded analytics and AI-enabled supply chain opportunities. • Communicate complex SAP concepts clearly, helping stakeholders understand trade-offs, risks, benefits and change impacts.What You'll Bring Essential Extensive experience as an SAP Supply Chain Solution Architect, SAP Logistics Architect or Lead SAP Consultant in complex enterprise environments. Deep knowledge of SAP supply chain processes, including procurement, materials management, inventory, logistics, and integration with Finance, Manufacturing, Quality, Sales, PLM and MES. Strong understanding of SAP ECC6 and S/4HANA supply chain capabilities, fit-to-standard design, SAP best practices, simplification impacts and clean core principles. Proven ability to design and govern complex SAP solutions, producing process designs, blueprints, specifications, configuration guidance and technical documentation. Experience working with AMS providers, systems integrators and offshore teams, providing design direction and quality assurance. Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior business and IT stakeholders. Desirable SAP S/4HANA certification or hands-on experience with S/4HANA transformation projects, including greenfield, brownfield or selective transformation. Experience defining and implementing EWM and SAP Ariba (Sourcing, Contracting, Direct Procurement) capabilities. Experience using SAP Activate, agile, hybrid-agile or waterfall delivery methods across full project lifecycles. Familiarity with SAP Fiori, SAP BTP, embedded analytics, SAP Integration Suite and cloud integration patterns.
