Birmingham City Council are looking for a skilled and detail oriented Audit and Policy Lead to join a dedicated project team supporting the transformation of the Housing Applications and Allocations service. This is a key role where you will help ensure that housing allocation processes are fair, transparent, and delivered in line with legislation and best practice.
You will play an important role in supporting major transformation programmes, including the review of the Housing Allocations Policy and the implementation of a new Choice Based Lettings (CBL) IT system. These programmes are critical to improving service quality, strengthening compliance, and enabling better outcomes for citizens.
This role will provide dedicated capacity to support project delivery, helping to embed new policies, systems, and processes while maintaining strong audit and assurance frameworks. You will contribute to improving how the service operates, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and accountability across all allocation activities.
