On Behalf of Arup, we are looking for a Innovation Product Manager to join Arup on a 4 Month contract based in Leeds (office attendance as and when required).

The Role & Responsibilities:

The Innovation Product Manager is responsible for identifying, shaping, and validating new digital propositions, taking ideas from opportunity through to MVP readiness. Working across product, innovation, and delivery, the role leads discovery activities, assesses commercial and technical viability, and builds evidence-based business cases to support investment decisions. The role works closely with stakeholders, domain experts, and cross-functional teams to ensure innovation is strategically aligned and focused on delivering customer and business value.

What you'll do:

  • Identify and develop new opportunities aligned with business priorities.
  • Lead discovery activities including market research, customer interviews, experimentation, and prototyping.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and refine propositions through structured validation.
  • Build business cases supported by market, customer, and commercial analysis.
  • Define value propositions, business models, and go-to-market approaches.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions to gather requirements and drive decisions.
  • Translate technical concepts and requirements into clear business language.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to progress ideas through to MVP readiness.
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously and identify key pivots and decision points.
  • Evaluate external partners and startup solutions where partnering offers the best route to market.
  • Prepare recommendations and materials to support governance and investment decisions.

Key Accountabilities, Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in Product Management, Innovation Management, Delivery Management, or Project Management.
  • Proven experience leading discovery and proposition development activities.
  • Strong business case development and feasibility assessment skills.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and uncertain environments.
  • Experience facilitating workshops and engaging a broad range of stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including data analysis and financial evaluation.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, accessible language for non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing multiple initiatives and working across cross-functional teams.
