Virtualisation Engineer (VMware/vSphere/Horizon) - SC Cleared - Nottingham

Inside IR35. On site 5 days. Contract to 31 March 2027, with likely extension for 6-12 months.

A central government client is looking for an experienced Virtualisation Engineer to join an established infrastructure team in Nottingham. This is a long standing programme so it's a genuinely stable, long term contract with a strong likelihood of extension.

You will be project-focused, building and maintaining the virtualisation estate, with some BAU and technical support as required. You need to be hands on and confident owning the platform end to end.

• Expert level VMware - vSphere, ESXi and Horizon VDI (build, upgrade, management)
• Windows Server 2012 (R2), 2016 and 2019
• HPE Servers and data centre management
• Active Directory and core networking
• Comfortable joining an on call rota (1 week in 4)

• SCCM, Synergy

• Active SC Clearance. We need it current and transferable - unfortunately, recently lapsed clearance won't work for this one.
• Able to work on site in Nottingham 5 days a week.

Start date ideally early July (some flex to allow SC transfer). Contract initially to 31 March 2027.
