Job Description

Overview

Ares is looking for a Vice President of Site Selection to lead the expansion of Ada's infrastructure footprint across EMEA. The role reports to the Head of EMEA and works closely with the Ares Management investments team to evaluate and secure sites that meet technical, regulatory, and commercial criteria.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify regions where Ada should operate based on data center market penetration and vacancy.
  • Evaluate and validate potential sites for infrastructure development, ensuring proper zoning, power and permitting, planning, and customer base feasibility.
  • Develop and deliver a two page analysis and proposal to senior Ada leadership, outlining the merits and drawbacks of each site.
  • Negotiate the purchase of selected sites and act as the primary contact with sellers.
  • Scale the site selection team as Ada grows and matures.
  • Maintain strong collaboration with the investments team throughout the site selection process.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in a commercial site selection or project execution role.
  • Technical understanding of data center infrastructure and the key technical components required for site viability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities and a commercial mindset.
Reporting Relationships

Reports to the Head of Ada Infrastructure, EMEA.
