Job Description
Senior Cloud Platform Engineer role located in any UK Bupa office, full time, 37.5 hours per week. Salary from £57,800 per annum plus bonus. Job Area: IT. Locations: London, Staines - Willow House.
The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining cloud based platforms, ensuring reliability, security and scalability, and collaborating with engineering, security and operations teams.
Responsibilities
- Design, build and maintain cloud-based platforms and infrastructure.
- Support reliability, performance and security of systems.
- Develop automated processes to improve efficiency and consistency.
- Work closely with engineering teams to enable smooth delivery of applications.
- Monitor systems and respond to issues to ensure service continuity.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of platform capabilities.
- Ensure solutions align with best practice and internal standards.
- Share knowledge and support colleagues within the team.
Qualifications
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
- Strong knowledge of infrastructure, automation and platform engineering.
- Confidence using tools for monitoring, deployment and configuration.
- Experience with scripting or programming languages (Python, PowerShell or similar).
- Understanding of security, reliability and performance considerations.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
- Proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
