If you enjoy being part of a supportive and growing team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.Day in the life of a Qualified SurveyorAs a technical specialist, you will play a key role in the operational delivery and compliance assurance of gas, heating, and communal heat network systems across our property portfolio.Reporting to the Building Compliance Manager - Gas and Heating, you will:Ensure gas, heating, and heat network systems are safe, efficient, and compliant with all statutory and regulatory requirementsPlan, conduct, and quality assure statutory inspections, surveys, and remedial worksOversee gas, central heating, and associated plant, including communal heat networksProvide expert technical advice and guidance to internal teams and contractorsMaintain accurate, audit-ready compliance recordsIdentify, manage, and escalate safety or compliance risks appropriatelyYou will be instrumental in maintaining high compliance standards and supporting safe, reliable services for our customers.What we are looking forSubstantial hands-on experience conducting and overseeing gas and heating inspections across a variety of property types, including high-risk residential buildings and heat network systemsIn-depth knowledge of:Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998Pressure Systems Safety Regulations 2000Heat Network (Metering and Billing) RegulationsRelevant building and landlord legislationFamiliarity with non-gas and low-carbon heating systems, communal heating, and heat networks within a social housing environmentEssential requirementsRecognised technical qualifications in gas engineering, mechanical engineering, building services or surveying (e.g. HNC/HND, BEng/BSc, Gas Safe registration)Experience working within regulated or high-compliance environmentsExperience supporting internal and external audits and regulatory inspectionsEvidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development in gas and heating compliancePlease see the job description for the full list of essential and desirable criteria.What we can offer youWe can offer 25 days holiday (increasing with each year of service, up to a maximum of 31 days), bank holidays and three concessionary days over the Christmas period.
